freeiPods.com… Yes, Free…

Years ago, there was a company called FreePC.com. The premise was that you signed up for their free computer, and they sent you one – with banner and spy software, so they could monitor your surfing habits. I didn’t own a computer at home at the time, and I was happy to sell my soul just for a free machine. I signed up, but didn’t hear anything. I forgot all about it for the most part, randomly checking back to see if they had updated the site or if there was any new information.

Then, one day I received an e-mail asking me if I still wanted to participate, and if so – to verify where to send the new PC. Yes, free. Well, somewhat free, but I had to be willing to be spied on. Ok, whatever – I didn’t mind.

A year or so later, the company folded, and they sent us the information on how to reformat things to get the banner ads off the computer. Since then, I have replaced the hard drive, buying one from a co-worker for $40. The PC still works just fine. Free.

The point of all of this? You can have a chance to get a FREE iPod. I signed up for the pink one. Shocker there, huh? Anyways, I need to refer five friends – so if you are interested in helping me out and want to sign up, go to my special freeiPods.com referrer page. Once you sign up, get 5 friends to sign up and go for one of the offers (Columbia House DVD, AOL for Broadband, White Smile, BMG Music Service) and … well, that’s it. Free iPod, or so they claim. For a price slightly cheaper than your soul. (UPDATE: I removed the link to my referrer page because I’ve met the requirements for one. If you still want to sign up, help these people out.)

Don’t want an iPod? That’s ok. They will give you $250 in gift certificates for iTunes instead.

I really, really, really want the pink iPod though… although the silver is nice too…

I signed up for the Ipod. I even joined one of those CD clubs. But, they have yet to send me a verification email to the address I signed up with.

I will let you know, thanks for the link! 🙂

I saw this the other day, but I’m in the same boat as the others who can’t come up with 5 people to jump through the hoops.

I thought I wanted a pink mini, but then I saw them in person. I like the green better now.

Free iPod
hristine mentioned a free iPod giveaway so I went to the website to check it out. One has to get five friends to sign up, jump through a few hoops, and then supposedly, a free iPod is on the way….

I did it! you should have a free ipod in no time. I like that all you have to do is sign up on ebay and make a bid. I just went to that pet site and bought $20 worth of nyla bones that i need anyways.

Kymberlie, uhm… no. 🙂 I’m not giving it up that easily, as Mike would probably claim it first. You can get one through this though… and if you had told me you signed up, I would have been referred by you. Oh well. 🙁

Katie, I noticed the Firefox thing – but they sent me the e-mail anyways, and then I could get the subpages to work. It’s just tempermental.

For everyone that signed up… THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!

Please be very careful w/ stuff like this. Maybe it’s for real, maybe it’s not. I can’t say, just… be careful. Ipodlounge.com has some warnings about such sites, such as this warning:

I JUST got my pink one. I ordered it from amazon.com and it took 3 months and 18 days for them to get it to me cuz it’s so popular and back ordered. From reading the threads at ipod lounge, it seems the best bet is to order from the apple online store and it comes in a month or less. Amazon takes a lot longer, and pink takes the longest. I got mine, and within the week of finally getting it, we went to a Comp USA in another town and they had 3 silver ones in stock, so Mike was able to get one for himself with no waiting. I was a bit jealous, but so glad to have mine that I really didn’t care. Ipod lounge has great articles and the boards have threads on mini availability, which can be very helpful when on the hunt for one. Good luck! 😀

Hello everyone! I just started the freeipods.com deal and was wondering if anyone could help me out as well. Thank you!

A couple of interesting articles on the whole thing as it apprears to be very legit.

It’ll be interesting to see if appears for Christine and everyone else. The firefox problems had been fixed but it’s still safer to use IE.

You sure? Everything I’ve read indicates that it’s not physically possible for more than about 10 percent of the people in such a pyramid to actually get any product at all. But they’ll be selling the e-mail addresses they get left and right, so hopefully everyone used a “spam” address.

Well, so far I have 4 out of 5 “offer completed” things showing up in my status. One person who told me she completed the offer isn’t showing up as complete, so I’ll have to contact them on that.

As for the pyramid scheme calculation – that’s true. They probably can’t have enough products to cover them all. That is also assuming that everyone gets one. I’ve had a lot of people sign up under me, but of those – only 4 or 5 have completed the offer. So not everyone will reach the point of having enough sign-ups, I’m sure.

I am so tempted to sign up for the free I-pod thingy. I just know I’d be kind of miffed if I got some mass mailing from a friend that was doing the same thing and spammed me to get closer towards it. I think I’ll stick with just making really pitiful faces at the husband.

hey guys, please help me out. i have posted on several forums and will gladly substitute your referral link for mine in all of them once i hit 5. thanks.

I would suggest to join a Conga Line, a group effort to get free ipods. It works the best. Thats how my girlfriend got hers (I use it all the time i dont even care that its pink, there that cool. Here is a new Free Ipod Conga Group, my brother just started it like today
Free iPod Conga at MSN Groups . This is the best new Conga (newer better so you wait less) It has just been submitted to 1074 search engines too!!

I signed up for the free iPod thing a while ago, I was able to “place” my order after I had my 5 referals (on July 29th). Unfortunately, all of the iPods are on backorder … so we have to wait for shipment. A friend of mine is a teacher, and is going to use the free iPod to tech her students about technology (inner-city school doesn’t have a budget for technology). Help her get hers by signing up with this link. Get an iPod for free and help a good cause 🙂

Please help me out. 🙁 I don’t have any referrals yet and I need 5 nice people to please complete an offer. Here is the link:

Thanks!!!!!!
