A French barkeeper confessed that a cheeky customer had tricked him out of a free drink by paying with euro Monopoly money. Now that’s funny. We always joked when I first moved to Germany that the money looked like monopoly money – but after awhile the good ol’ greenback started to look quite boring being so plain. I still miss colorful money. If you get your hand on some Euro money and you are wondering, Euro notes can’t take the heat, but the come out of the washing machine ok. (Link thanks to Fark)

I also read that one side of the Euro coin is heavier than the other, so it’s no good for flipping heads/tails. Bizarre!
That’s hilarious! A lot of people think our (Canadian) money looks like monopoly money as well… but then I get confused every time I go to the US.
ROFLMAO!! Well, hey, he didn’t even have to print the money!
LOL, that’s too good! I’d bet there are a bunch of confused people in Europe right now – people paying with brand new bills and people trying to figure out what they all mean :giggle: how funny!
And I *still* think that the new bills here with bigger president heads look funny!
Oh I hate those new bills Kristine! They are fuh-gly!
I’m with Karla – Canadian money is pretty, and it has nice pictures too! Too bad it isn’t worth much. *sigh*
