I Need Help…

I copied all of the files from this host, uploaded them all to my new host. Changed everything – 666, 755, 777 … my eyes are starting to cross. And voila! Headers & footers, but no posts. Well, there were posts at first, until I tried to correctly configure everything for the new host, and then they went away. They are still there, I can see them when I go to “Edit an Entry”. UGH. Anyone out there that is really, really wonderful with things like greymatter, moving blogs, chmod’ing, and willing to help? I would love you forever… Heck, by now I would be willing to pay money!

Speaking of forever love, a big thank you AGAIN to Amy of Domesticat.net for her support, encouragement, and patient explanations of how to “skin” a site. I have been playing with a test blog all day, and I think I am almost there… so close, but not quite, because right now it isn’t working yet! I’ll keep you posted, but I am very grateful for all of Amy’s help and support.

Expect that at some point in time this week this site will be moving. Things may disappear for awhile. Won’t that be fun! But I will post a redirect page here to take you to the new site using an IP address until the DNS servers out there resolve. Promise.

Ok, I am by no means a “Greymatter” expert, but after playing around a bit with it, I did find out a few things. I did find this link from the GM forums: http://www.rjtorres.net/greymatter_faq.html – Also, check out this link: http://noahgrey.com/greysoft/board/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000450 – this is from the forum – specifically someone had asked about moving greymatter… one trick: try hitting the “diagnostics and repair” in the configuration settings… good luck! 🙂
