I’m so excited! I just got news from tyd that the film for Rannie’s Film Exchange Project is in route to my house! I have to finish shooting my roll still over Thanksgiving vacation and then mine will be on it’s way too!
More great news – I just discovered that my boss was going to sell on eBay his hardback set of the Lord of the Rings. I have been looking at the nice hardback set for awhile, but never got one – so it’s a win-win situation for us! I get the books, he doesn’t have to pay listing fees and deal with shipping, all he really does is put these Shipping Labels on the packages, and now we’re all happy!

oh, stop making me jealous! 😛 i just bought the box set. but in paperback… so i can lug it around with ease. but you HAVE to read The Hobbit first. that is precursor to The Fellowship of the Ring.
My parents have a copy of the Hobbit at their house, so I’ll borrow that and read it first. I know what you mean about the paperbacks – that why I’ve been holding out on buying them because I want the hardback for the long term – but the paperbacks are easier to carry around!
I have a paperback of The Hobbit from the early 70’s. I toy with reading it now and then.
But have yet to take the plunge.
