I decided when I got home tonight that it was actually somewhat tolerable outside and I didn’t feel like I was melting after sitting on the patio for a few minutes. The view is nice, the desruptions are few, the mosquitos aren’t too bad (they tried to carry me away last weekend) so I grabbed the laptop and the wireless card and set up outside. If you own a laptop, I simply can not say enough about the wonders of 802.11b wireless. Sitting outside with the citronella candles lit, I’m going to take advantage of this and upgrade to MT 2.21. If the site seems a bit crazy, blame it on the upgrade. Change is in the air.

Oh how I wish I had a laptop and 802.11b 🙂 Of course, then I’d have no excuse for my wonderfully geeky pallor 😉 Ah well, I guess that’s one of the trade-offs 🙂
What, you think I do this when it’s sunny outside? No way! Then I would lose the no-tan geek look that I have going too!
What kind of connection do you have. This wireless card connects you to what? It sounds interesting, maybe its something I should set up. Spill the beans, ‘k?
Lucky. How did you set it up?
I have a dell laptop with DSL. But when I tried to take my system wireless, it wouldn’t take. I never could figure out why. (And these damn wires are always in the way.)
I used to have a tan, of course they don’t make monitors like they used to. 🙂
If you’re interested in wireless you should check out the Houston Wireless Users Group, at http://www.houstonwireless.org and http://www.photonsphere.com
