I pretty much understood how to purl last week, thanks to Knitty Gritty and KnittingHelp.com , but I wasn’t brave enough to actually try it. I had my knitting class yesterday, and guess what?
Now I can purl!
I made nice pretty little “V” shapes on my practice swatch, and I’m so excited!
You guys warned me that this whole knitting thing is addictive, and you weren’t kidding. The first thing I thought about as I woke up this morning? That I wanted to get up and finished my scarf that I was working on before I went to bed last night!

Welcome to the cult. Help yourself to the koolaid.
If we could bottle that excitement and then I could do my housework too! Have fun…
Yep, it doesn’t take long to get sucked into the knitting madness. I can’t seem to stop, no matter how hard I try. I finished knitting a scarf for myself on Monday night, started making a matching hat yesterday morning, and, though I’m currently sick and bedridden (read: should be getting lots of sleep), I stayed up until 2 a.m. finishing said hat. I may be hacking up my intestines, but I’m going to look HOTT in my new scarf/hat set while I’m doing it.
nothing about the amazing race … i’m surprised. i wouldn’t have thought that they’d win. i was so rooting for *blank* & *blank* (in case you didn’t see it for some reason)
it’s a pretty good addiction as things go – at least I think so. Gotta get back to my tea cozy now….
hehe, it’s surprising how addictive it is, huh? I even catch myself staring at people’s sweaters and other knitted items when I’m out – I try and figure out how to make my own version!
