I seem to have discovered lately that a lot of people, including Tara and Caro love skulls. The free pattern for Skull and Crossbones Lace might just be perfect for them! [Via Chickybabe.]
The above photo was taken at Julia’s house when I visited her almost two weeks ago. She is a huge nature lover, so I could not pass up a chance to capture such a beautiful creature as it sat on the side of my car. Her daughter and I enjoyed our moment outside while I took the pictures. I did not enjoy having a grasshopper jump around inside my car later on as I drove in to Austin. I guess not everything can be perfect when it comes to nature!

Thank you for the skull lace link. I have a customer that is going to go gaga over it.
H & R were looking over my shoulder when I was reading your post. They were so excited to see a flying grasshopper. 🙂
$116 for fabric? Outrageous! Is there gold woven in it??
I would go with the darker color so as not to be “matchy-matchy”.

I love that skull & crossbones lace! Thanks for the pattern link!
Great grasshopper shot too!
I do love the skulls…
and my mother hates them….
that’s enough for me.
The skull lace is super cool! I’m going to have to add that to my list. I’ll give it a whirl after I get the Husband’s skull-cuffed socks done. (Still haven’t started those yet. Actually, I haven’t even bought the yarn. whoops!)
i LOVE that photo; what an exotic insect! and it goes with the skull and crossbones title too!
hahaha!
Stunning photo!
