Tell Me What You Think…

While the blog is all about me (as in writing what I want to write), it is also all about you. I’m back AGAIN to the same debate I always have … keep everything here in one place, or divide it up? I went through this when I set up the Pointy Sticks site, and again when I set up Fresh Photography, and now I’m back there again! Augh!

I’ve got knitting to write about, photos to share, things relating to Houston and Destination wedding photography, prints for sale … oh, the list goes on and on! tumblr is nice because I can pull all the RSS feeds into one place, but it isn’t all *here*. I keep coming back to wanting it all here, I guess. But that leads to the question of if you want it all here.

So, do I keep cross-posting? Or do you prefer to be able to pick & choose which parts of my online presence you follow along with? I know ultimately it is up to me, but I still want the feedback from you. It is all about yooooooouuuuuuu…

I like things all in one place and I like people’s blogs so I probably won’t be visiting Tumblr. If I don’t feel like reading a post on something I’ll skip it, but at least I’ll know it was there. I’ve started to come to the conclusion it is better to consolidate instead of having websites scattered all over (but that is just what is working for me).

It would be so fantastic if WordPress Pages could be update-able like the blog page. But for now, I guess I have to vote all-in-one with tags and cry about missing the uniqueness of each site. So much to do, so little time!

I go through similar deliberations all the time. I’ve just done the opposite that you’ve done with Tumblr – I’m feeding my tumblr posts in with my regular blog posts and they are tagged “gleaned”. It’s a constant evolution. Do what makes you happy, the readers will follow if they want to.

I have to say I’d prefer to have it all here, too. I actually like all the bits of you, even if it was the knitting that drew me here to begin with. Just…. please don’t totally forsake your podcasting. Even every once in a while is better than nothing (I’ve turned into a real knitting podcast snob and few pass the test. I’m really missing Pointy Sticks, the ‘cast!)

I’m with Mary (above)-I just want to hear you podcast again. I’ve listened to all the knitting ‘casts since the very first Knitcast, and I give all the new ones a try, but only a few trigger that “Yes!” reaction when I see a new episode up. Yours is one of them. I miss you. And I loved hearing about your travels; we’re going to Paris, Germany and Prague in September, so it was a great “preview.” Thanks, Cristine!

I’m tired of chasing you around to all your blogs. Pick one and stay there. WE can handle the diversity of information. Hell, we’re your friends after all. Glad your back. Now blog or something.
