The “G” Stands for Goooood…

Matt is the bomb. He hooked me up with a lovely little Gmail account to call my own.

In the process of signing up, my initial choice of usernames was not available. I knew “Christine” would be taken, but it is always worth a shot, right? Gmail is nice enough to offer you alternatives though. Here is what it offered me:

christine.tremoulet
ctremoulet
tremoulet
tremouletster

What?!?? Tremouletster? WTF? Uhm, yeah. I passed on that one. I went with bigpinkcookie, because it’s easy to remember. Get down with the BPC…

they do that with all the names because they did that with mine… waterlilyster.

i couldn’t get waterlily, though… it was a huge bummer. i just got chattykathy1974 because obviously chattykathy was taken, too.

too funny, what with going off to argentina next month, I’ve been wondering if anyone would send me an invite… hotmail just doesn’t do the trick and I get way too much daily sends in my regular mail… here’s to gmail *holds up feigned glass for ca-chinking!*

feel free to share the invites if/when you get ’em! *wink*

I wonder what kind of ‘ster it would make me!?

Congratulations Christine! 🙂

Yeah, “Christina” was taken too. :\

I’ve noticed a trend, in that most people I know that have gmail accounts, used the main part of their domain name, as their username. (Yes, even I did)… I think it’s pretty cool. 🙂

I got a gmail account two days ago and I was so excited. I ran around telling everyone. Finally someone asked, “What is it? Why is it so cool?” and I realized I had no idea. Yet.

I would ask why Christine’s most fanatic lurker (me) doesn’t have an invite, but then I realized that Christine gives unlimited email forwards to her clients… 😉

I dunno, what the heck IS so cool about getting a GMail account?

I actually don’t have invites yet. It seems that you don’t get them right away, and then it is maybe based on use? Not sure, but when I have invites, Jenn and Ben (but not Benifer!) will be the first to know.

As for the cool factor … well, I haven’t used it enough yet to actually answer that question either.

I got an invite, and I was offered *Murphyster* as a choice.

I don’t think so. I went for *catmommy*, which, surprisingly, was NOT taken. I already knew that I had a snowball’s chance in hell of getting *Christine*

So, *catmommy* I am. I don’t mind at all!
