It was decided again last night, when a New Kids On the Block song came on the 80s Sirius radio station, that the problem with today’s music is the lack of keyboards and not enough “wooooooowooooo” types of emphasis in songs. Know what I mean?

Last Friday my neighbor held a party for her 8th and 6th grader. Tons of kid running around. I followed some of them upstairs to find them do a little karaoke. “I Ran (So Far Away),” Flock of Seagulls, came up, and I felt like an absolute old lady explaining that “this is what I listened to when I was in high school.”
My younger sister, by 10 years, HATES THE 80’S, but I love them. Give me synthesizer any day. And big hair, should pads and rainbow make up while your at it.
I kind of liked keyboards, but having played guitar, I’d pick that over keyboards any day.
Speaking of the 80’s, what happened to the guitar solo?
