I was so tired yesterday, I could barely form a coherent thought. I guess that is a good sign though – we had a blast during Rannie & Jay’s visit!
We met up with them at Kavah Kane’s at about 4:30 in the afternoon on Thursday. We walked around downtown Houston, and picked spots for Rannie to take engagement photos in – I need to get the wedding website set up, and they will add a great touch!
After our photo shoot, we headed back to Kavah Kane’s and met up with Kathy, Tom, Elaine and Angela. We hung out there for a little bit, then walked over to the Flying Saucer for the “Pre-Pre-SXSW Kick-off Party – where Houston is the place to be!” We had a wonderful turnout! It was great to get to meet a bunch of new people and have a chance to hang out with people I have met before. (I’ll add a ton of links later – I don’t have them all handy right now!)
We stayed out pretty late, but that’s ok – some things you only get to do once! (Well, ok – twice, since Rannie will be in Houston for the wedding at the end of May.) We had a great time during their visit, and I’m glad we had a chance to host them on their road trip across the U.S.
