The Water Rule…

Great, just great. Now that I’m finally drinking lots of water, the Health experts question the water rule. Well, I don’t care what the experts say – I feel better since I started drinking more water, so I’ll keep right on drinking it! [via Donna]

By the way, Sunday is the end of week 1 of my diet & exercise program (Body-for-Life). Only 11 weeks left to go, and I only missed working out one day this week and that was thanks to pushing myself too hard the day before. w00t!

Keep Up the good job Christine…I would drink more water but I hate the taste of it unless its bottle water and even that I have a hard time drinking it…sounds strange I know…

You rock, Christine – keep on going! The biggest change I saw when I decided to lose weight was the improvement I felt when I drank oceans worth of water – being well-hydrated takes more effort, but it’s worth it!

i wouldn’t worry too much about the water thing… there’s a study to support every view, yanno? another example, the USRDA for Vitamin C is less that a gram/day… but Nobel Prize winning scientist Linus Pauling advocated taking more than 3 grams per day (personally, he took more than 20 grams per day).

if you feel better drinking more water (i certainly do… the body seems to work better), then by all means, keep drinking more water.

and congrats on the exercise program! can’t wait to see your progress…

I opted to do weight watchers online, and so far I’ve lost 4 pounds. If you need any encouragement, I think the message boards are free and the women there are about as well versed as they come when it comes to “good for you” stuff… like low fat snacks that are delish.

Good luck and if you need to vent or want any recipies, let me know.

Hi, it’s your Houston buddy north of 1960. I know I haven’t spoke to ya in like two months, been busy with college. Anywho, I was just gonna say keep up the diet, it…it…wait a minute….what’s that delightful smell? Why it’s grilled steak, covered in marinated steak sauce, and oh, what do we have here, why it’s a chocolate shake with whipped cream adorning its top. Just look at that frosty glass just begging for a sip. Come on, just one sip won’t do ya any harm.

Way to go! I gave up soda more than a year ago and replaced it with water. I’m not sure if it helped me at all but I feel better about myself for doing it. Keep up the good work.

Hey, my sister does BFL and she speaks so highly of it. She was recommending it to me but I haven’t done the reading yet. Still, she says it works. Lots of luck with it. I’m going to try to feed off of your strength. I haven’t done my exercises in ages…

LOL. Christine, you were the first person to come to mind when I heard the latest theory on water drinking. Oh, screw it. In six months, they’ll be telling us water cures cancer. Bear in mind we hear that wine is good, then it’s bad. Whatever. Keep it up! 🙂
