I saw it on the Captivate screen in the elevator, and I really hoped it wasn’t true … but it is. A Reality TV Channel is in the works. Come on people, enough is enough! I turn on my TV to get away from reality – I don’t need a reality channel! Well, unless they promise to air The Amazing Race. I really, really miss TAR! Bring back TAR! Bring back TAR!

I ADORE The Amazing Race. Unfortunately, with everything that’s going on in the world right now (war, SARS, etc), I doubt they’ll tape a new one anytime soon. But I’m totally sending in a tape (with my friend S) as soon as they’re accepting applications – I would kill to be on it. I just hope they don’t can the show!

Amazing Race and American Idol reruns would make me happy. I don’t particularly care for any of the others … and may I say, darn you for getting me hooked on the Amazing Race!! 😉 If they do a season 5, I might just have to apply (seriously!).
wait, a reality TV channel might be a good thing! Then all the reality shows will go the reality TV channel, and I can watch normal TV again! 🙂
I saw this in the elevator, too – and at first I had the same reaction you did, but then I thought it might be good. Maybe all the reality shows can move to that network and we can get back to good tv on the regular channels.. anything but another cop/law/hospital drama!
I think the only reality show I watch on a regular basis is Survivor. I’ve just never gotten into all of it. Well except for The Real World but it was the original way back in the day.
Just an FYI – TAR4 has completed production. They were in India in early February (when they were down to 8 teams). (Here is an article for proof.) What is not understood, however, is why the delay in broadcast. The latest rumor is late May/early June for a start date.
