Now that the 1 year anniversary date at the job has passed, I’ve had the annual salary review. The end result of that process was, of course, an adjustment to my salary. Now what should I do with the money? Budgets for the Aspiring Rich is a fun spin on getting on track financially. Sure, dealing with money sucks – but at least if you budget it right you should be in for too many surprises. Or at least that’s what they tell me – I’ll let you know how it turns out.

WTG on the raise!
Did you lose the link for my wishlist? I can resend it if you want.
Damn, Mike. I thought I had it around here somewhere, but I don’t see it. Send that along with your birthday and any other important “gift giving days” that I should remember, ok?
My advice, invest in Quicken, if you haven’t already. It is so wonderful to be able to figure out all of the stuff mentioned in that article with just a mouse click and it can handle as many accounts as you want to put into it.
Good luck!
Quicken gets so depressing when you realize just HOW MUCH money you’ve wasted…
Word on the Quicken – but be prepared for the bracing truth! And double word on The Morning News – it’s like a newspaper with soul.
Congrats on the raise and thanks for that link. I’m always on the lookout for financial advice websites. Here’s one for you that I just found today and that looks interesting: http://www.ihatefinancialplanning.com/ .
