Mike is coming home today! Mike is coming home today! I’m dancing around the house, I’m so excited that he is coming home today!
I finally reached a point where I could sleep at night (sheer exhaustion will do that to you), but it still hasn’t been the same with him gone. I’m so happy that I’m about to go to the airport to pick him up!
In the latest knitting news, I stopped in to my LYS and asked the lady that taught my sock class how to purl Continental. She showed me the regular way, and then she showed me the Norwegian purl. I picked it right up, and I am zooming along. I love it. Before, any time I tried to rib I ended up with a bunch of extra stitches and a whole lot of frustration. Purling Continental takes care of all of that! Now I can finally start on my socks. Wheee!

I’m happy for you and Mike!
I am sooo guilty of blurking here at The Cookie. I have no idea how I found you months ago, but I kept coming back! I so enjoy knitting. I am totally into continental. I feel as though I complete the project in no time.
Thanks for stopping by my little place in cyberspace!
This 56 stitch sock pattern is really nice – i really liked the finished result. I also have to say that for all the fancy sock yarns out there, Lion Brand Magic Stripe is a nice affordable choice.

I wish MY Mike was coming home today…
Happy for you!!
wow i haven’t been here in a very long time. not since my days at fipilele. hi.
Welcome home, Mike! (Christine-We’ll understand if there’s a sudden break in blogging.) π
And thanks for bringing up Norwegian purling. I just Googled it and found a flyer on Interweave Knits. Heck, even after 20 years knitting, I just learned something new. Thanks!

Trust me, I’m nowhere close to matching those speeds! That is simply amazing though to think of anyone knitting that fast!
