What Good Fun!

In my 18 posts today (ok, not 18 – but it seems like it!) I forgot to mention this. Monsters, Inc. had the *cutest* trailer yesterday before Harry Potter. It was *GREAT*. I won’t give it away, but go see Harry Potter and look for it. Too funny. I am assuming it only shows before Harry Potter, it was pretty specific like that. Made me want to go see Monsters, Inc. too. I loved the ending – “Showing in a Theater near you. Very near you. Like maybe right next to yours.” Classic.

I also forgot to mention that I finally watched Clerks last night. That was pretty amusing, and now I “get” a few more of the jokes from Jay & Silent Bob that I didn’t catch when I saw the movie. Props to Kymberlie for loaning me her DVD of Clerks! Hey, you know what? Jason’s on his way to North Dakota … I am home alone … I can watch all of these grown-up movies during the middle of the day! Hmmm… what will I watch next?

What if You Placed Ads?

Remember that “What type of Blogger Are You?” quiz thing? Yeah, I wonder how it would effect your score if you placed Metafilter TextAds? (Link via Jish.)

How Did You Get There?

I always think it’s funny how one site leads you to another. I was reading the support forums at MovableType. That lead me to Openwire (Fooljay is quite helpful on the boards at MT). He had a link to Weblogs.Com. Oh look – there I am, because I use MT and I ping Weblogs.com when I update. Oh look, just below my entry is Adam Curry. That’s funny to think about, someone famous listed just 5 entries away from mine. You know what, I had better check out his site – haven’t been there in awhile. Read the post about the teens not using condoms, which had a link to Fark. I am loving Fark – reading all sorts of articles there! Much amusement, like The Official Ramen Home Page with 200 recipes for Ramen noodles! Who would have ever thought…

Sort of fun to ponder, huh? So, where did you go today?

Go Twins!

Yeah!!! Hennepin County judge orders Twins to play in Dome in 2002 “The Twins are one of the few professional sports team(s) in town where a family can afford to take their children to enjoy a hot dog and peanuts at a stadium. … The commission, the state, citizenry and fans will suffer irreparable harm if the Twins do not play” next season at the Dome.”

I am not much of a Twins fan but they hold a very special place in my heart because my cousin, Tyler, who was killed in a car/pedestrian accident in April, 2000 was a big fan, as is my Uncle Terry (Tyler’s dad) – and I know that losing the Twins would mean losing a piece of Tyler to him. I was really upset last weekend when I found out that they were trying to shut them down, so I hope this judge’s ruling helps. I really do.

Uhhhm, Kids? That’s NOT Smart!

Many U.S. College Students Not Using Condoms: Study Uh, hello? You kids ever heard of AIDS? How about all of the other STDs out there? I mean, come on! Not too smart to make your most memorable part of college the disease you got or the unexpected pregnancy that occurred because you were too damn lazy to use protection. (Link snagged from Adam Curry.)

Added at 10:07am: Hmmm… somehow fitting that I posted one of my favorite rants – sex makes BABIES and you can end up with a bad disease – as entry #666, isn’t it? Could it be … Satan? (Said with my best “Church Lady” voice!)
