Finally bothered to try…

Just an FYI … I am posting this from my patio. On the laptop. Wireless. I think it’s the first time I have been home during the day where I have nothing planned and I could actually sit outside and enjoy the day since I set up the wireless system! It’s a nice clear day too, cold front came through so it’s a little nippy (for us…) and I am about to go enjoy a housework marathon. Part of me actually wants to drive up & go to the Ren Fest alone. No one to rush me through the shops, no one to wait on. I can’t find Nicole’s phone number or I would call her and see if they are still coming over. Man. Maybe it’s a sign that I really should stay here and clean. Tomorrow will be nice out too, I could go then as my “reward”.

I’m going inside. It’s cold out here in a t-shirt and my jammie pants! (Navy blue knit with cute white polka dots and my free GeoCities t-shirt that I got the year I was a community leader – 1998?) Brrr… have goosebumps! (But I’ll be back out here to sweep … with a sweatshirt on!)

Brilliant … Simply Brilliant…

We are dropping food relief packets over Afghanistan in an effort to help them through the cold winter, but the brilliant people running the government are also dropping bombs the same color at the same time! Yes, the round can-like one is a bomb, and the rectangular one is a food packet! Oh, that’s really SMART people! WTF??!? What rocket scientist came up with this plan? So now they are making radio announcements to warn people not to pick up the wrong package. And Ms. McKinney (shown in the photo) has spoken about it to the House of Representatives. I just still can’t believe they are doing this! Beware of the yellow package! (Links and photo snagged from pinchy.org.)

All About Harry…

Harry Potter was great. Even without having read the books, I didn’t feel lost at all about the story line – although I am sure that reading the books now will be even more “enhanced” as I can visualize certain scenes. The effects were great, unlike Meryl – my theater wasn’t too loud, it was sold out but the kids were older so it wasn’t too bad. (I can’t stand it when there are 3-4 year old kids running back & forth, up & down the stairs at the movie!) Jason really loved it too – and I am really glad I could be there to see it with him for the first time. It was truly a good movie, I would even see it again!

Want to know what a dork I am? I got all misty-eyed at the end of the movie – three different times! Yep, that’s when you know the movie’s good.

Off to see…

I am off to see Harry Potter! I am sooooo excited!

Leave me comments. Everyone’s been so quiet lately. Well, I know I have said lots of exciting things to comment on. *g* I am behind on reading too, but will have lots of time to catch up finally this weekend!
