The Amazing Race…

I watched The Amazing Race for the first time on Wednesday. I haven’t gotten in to any of the other shows like this – I didn’t watch Survivor at all, and my attempts to watch this last season of Big Brother because Nicole kept talking about it failed because it was too far into the season – it didn’t make sense to me. But I have to say, I really enjoyed The Amazing Race. Even set the Tivo to do a Season Pass for it. I was sad to see the Grandparents get eliminated. They were the only ones that had that bizarre taxi-driver switch and all that went on when that happened. It was really sad – I was yelling at the tv! Amie seems very whiney, complaining about everything. I was left wondering if Lenny & Karen would end up just having a fist fight to get all the rage between them out. And if I ever met Bill or Joe on the street I would simply HAVE to bitch-slap them. I can’t wait until the episode next week!

Friday Five!

Thanks to smattering, here is the Friday Five!

1. What’s on top of your refrigerator? a fake ivy plant in a basket, my recipe card box, and probably an inch of dust. Ewwww…

2. What’s your favorite meal of the day? Lunch, because it is a nice break from work and I get to visit with friends most of the time.

3. Wash dishes by hand or in the dishwasher? What detergent do you use? Dishwasher, and I have used Cascade forever…

4. How often do you eat out compared to eating in? I eat lunch out, except on the weekends when we sometimes eat at home (depends on if we are out running errands, etc.) I eat dinner in most of the time, except for the occassional Friday or Saturday night at a restaurant. Which has of course decreased dramatically since I became single!

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? Camping at “Cub World” (part of Camp Strake) with a bunch of rowdy Cub Scouts. It is our annual “Puff Up Retreat” for the Catholic Commission on Scouting. Always a lot of fun, just wish we had the nice weather that we had last weekend instead of this nasty, muggy rain!
