About Last Night…

I went on a (gasp) date. Originally all we had planned was dinner at Lupe’s Tortillas, you know, allowing for an escape if things didn’t go well. We met there – the margaritas were fantastic, the tacos al carbon were soooooo tasty, the company was wonderful. We decided to follow the tasty meal up by renting The Family Man and relaxing, quite cozy. It was a nice evening. The movie was really sweet. Not the best I have seen, but the storyline and acting was so good it made it worth seeing. He was a really nice guy, perfect gentleman, and (yeah!) even asked me to call him today. Which I did. Hope to see him again. Had a wonderful time! Yippee! What a wonderful weekend it has been.

Today is it horribly hot outside. I am hiding inside in the air conditioning after running errands earlier. Blech. But I am getting lots of deep cleaning housework done! Off to tackle the closet and bag up clothes to donate to Goodwill.

Laughter & Good Times

I went to downtown to pick Chelsey up at her office last night after work, and then we headed over to Pappa’s Bar-B-Q to eat. Nothing fancy, but soooooooo good. We used to go there all the time for lunch when we worked downtown together. After we ate we went down to the theater by her house to see Legally Blonde. That movie was hysterical, funny enough that I would go back to the theater to see it again and I definately want it on DVD! Reese Witherspoon was great … that dog! What a riot. We laughed so hard throughout the whole thing. It was even funnier because Chelsey is a legal secretary, and as we pulled up her boss (one of the attorneys that she is assigned to) was standing outside with his wife, about to go in to see the same movie! Then when we entered the theater … the seats I picked were right next to him. After the movie we went back to her place and then went Wal-Mart’ing at 1am. It was amazing how many people were there at that time of night, and a lot of them with kids! We had, ummmmm… a special mission to accomplish, and then we finally got back to her place at something like 4am. *yawn* I spent the night there as it’s a long drive home. We had a great time. I miss having lunch with her all the time like we did when we both worked in downtown. Chelsey thought I was nuts, but I took pictures – will post them later!

I love my new camera…

I have added pictures of different things: a larger photo of me with glasses from last Friday, and another one, plus one of me without glasses.

A refinary at sunrise (while driving about 60, don’t try this at home kids…)

I had lunch yesterday with Kymberlie, and my car can kick Kymberlie’s car’s butt (hers is the cute little Miata). We ate at James Coney Island, where she shared her hotdogs with me, and I shared my mini corndogs with her.

Last night after work I stopped by Home Depot to check out their patio furniture (it was too expensive and nothing that great). Since no one was out there working in the plant department, I took photos of some of the flowers just to test out the power of my camera. When I first photographed this one I thought was a hibiscus, but I could be wrong; this one is definately a hibiscus (like my shoe in that one? I didn’t edit these at all, just resized) and the zinnias which I *really* like. I may go back this weekend and get some zinnias, but the squirrels seem to keep eating my plants so I never know what they will find tasty and what they will leave alone.

This is my always amusing fat cat Murphy, just chillin’ on the couch.
