This week’s This or That, from Christine:
1. CandyLand or Chutes and Ladders? I didn’t own either one as a kid, but I preferred to play Chutes & Ladders.

2. Barbie or GI Joe? Barbie.
3. Play-Doh or Silly Putty? Oh! I loved them both! But if I had to pick one, it would be Play-Doh.
4. Lincoln Logs or Tinkertoys? Again, another one I didn’t own. But I liked playing with Lincoln Logs.
5. The Game of Life or Monopoly? Monopoly.
6. Etch-a-Sketch or Lite-Brite? I always wanted a Lite-Brite. I loved the Etch-a-Sketch.
7. The Slinky: metal or plastic? Metal, all the way. Plastic Slinky is wimpy.
8. Easy-Bake Oven or Sno-Cone Machine? Damn, I was a deprived child. I didn’t own any of this stuff! I loved the Easy-Bake and always wanted one.
9. Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars? I was too busy playing with my Barbies.
10. Spirograph or Paint-by-Numbers? I didn’t own a Spirograph, but I liked the Paint-by-Numbers. Yeah, I wanted a Spirograph. I was so deprived… (No, not really. But there were a lot of toys I wanted that I didn’t have.)

Time for This or That

1. Popcorn at the movies: buttered or not? Buttered
2. Sometimes you feel like a nut..sometimes you don’t…Mounds or Almond Joy? Blech. Neither one.
3. Chips or pretzels? Both.
4. Milky Way or Snickers? Milky Way. (I hate nuts.)
5. M&M’s or Reese’s Pieces? Both.
6. McDonald’s or Burger King? Burger King.
7. Vanilla Coke or Pepsi Twist? I prefer my Pepsi plain, thank you…
8. Hostess Twinkies or Cupcakes? Ewwww… neither one. I hate that cream filling stuff.
9. Hershey’s Kisses or Hugs? Kisses.
10. Original Mountain Dew or Code Red? None. Can you pass me some water?

It’s Tuesday, and with Kymberlie in Vegas, I decided to just stay in for lunch. When I hit Delirious Cool (a way super cool person, let me tell you!) I realized that today is Tuesday, so it’s time for Ashley’s This-or-That! So here it goes…

1. Is your mouse pad plain or decorated? Work: the circle mousepad with the company logo that you will see on all of the desks here at 4 Guys. Not because they make us, but because we love the company that much. Really. Home: touchpad – no need for a mousepad.

2. Do you own a web cam? I own one, but it’s not set up right now. Maybe someday it will return.

3. Which do you do use more often online: email or search? E-mail.

4. Do you use HTML coding, WYSIWYG editor, or something else to create your web pages? Notepad. Hand coded, down to the last character. I really need to reinstall Homesite, I like how it helps with the tags but still has the hand-coding feel.

5. Do you forward chain emails? No.

6. Do you forward those mushy stories that take 20 minutes to read? Not normally, and only to special people who I think will be really moved by them. Just like the jokes, I need to set up a blog for them sometime.

7. How large is your monitor: 14″, larger, or smaller? Work: 19″ monitor. Set to 1600×1200. (I love viewing 2 800 pixels wide windows at once!). Home: Laptop monitor which is larger then the standard size – 15″ maybe? Pretty big. Also set to 1600×1200.

8. Do you have a mouse with a scroller, one with two buttons, one with three? Two buttons with a scroller at work. I almost never use the scroller though, I always forget that it’s there. Laptop uses a touchpad.

9. Do you listen to music while surfing the web? Yes or no? Not normally. I have been using the headphones more at the office to drown out the noise & get into “the zone”. At home I normally watch TV while I surf. I *heart* WiFi!

10. How often do you clear your cookies, or cache? Uh, am I supposed to? Never. I might just do that this week. Then I’ll have to type my name back in on all the comment forms, won’t I?

Time for Ashley’s This or That!

Picnic on the beach or picnic in a park? Both are good in the romantic sense, but in the park means less sand in your food! And not as windy as the beach is around here.
Atlantic ocean or Pacific? I’ve never been to the Pacific ocean at all. My only experience with the US coast of the Atlantic is Myrtle Beach. I love New England though, so I’ll say Atlantic, somewhere along the coast of the French Riviera! (It’s soooo beautiful in Cannes…)
Museum or the ballet? I love museums. Like Ashley, I am a museum addict. I read every single sign at an exhibit; I’m an information junkie. I would love to go back to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, I haven’t been there since I was a teenager but it’s still my #1 museum of all I’ve visited.
Lots of pillows on the bed, or just a few? Just two. One for me, one for the cat to curl up against. The decorative ones end up on the floor.
Home body or not? I have become more of a home body then I would like to be, but most of the time I don’t mind.
Introverted or extroverted? Extroverted on the line of being almost introverted. Depends on my mood. (Note: Libra who can flip modes on a dime.) I am an ENFP, but almost was an INFP.
Sunrise or sunset? You mean the sun rises? Get out. Ok, I see more sunsets then I see sunrises, but I actually find sunrises more breathtaking.
Do you prefer ceiling fans or light fixtures? Ceiling fans dry my eyes out really bad, make my allergies flare up thanks to the dust they swirl around, and just generally bug me because of the noise. I prefer light fixtures.
Lions or tigers or bears? Bears. I love teddy bears.
The Beatles or The Monkees? I have always loved the Beatles, but like Ashley again, my secret will be revealed. Sometimes I like the Monkees more. And we used to pretend that we hung out with the Monkees. We couldn’t pretend that we dated them because we all wanted to date Davey. When we pretended that we dated the Bee Gees it all worked out – 3 of us (Amy, Renee and me), 3 of them, so it was easy. Lately I have been craving some Beatles tunes though, so I can honestly say it’s pretty close.
