I’m sure you have heard it at some point today – today is a special day, because we had 20:02, 20/02, 2002. That’s 8:02pm, 20/02 is the European way of writing Feb. 20, and it’s 2002. Where were you? I was on the road. I was thinking to myself that everything I read about it said “this won’t happen ever again!” Uh, what? Why not on 21:12, 21/12, 2112? Translated, 9:12pm, Dec. 21, 2112? After that time it will never happen again because the military clock ends at 24 and there are only 12 months in a year. So there can’t be a 30:03, 30/03, 3003. There also can’t be a 31:13, 31/13, 3113. But it will still happen one more time. Most of us probably won’t be around to see it though!

i celebrated that special moment by having a nap. i [heart] naps.
I was watching Screensavers, of course.
What do you mean we won’t be here in 2112? What do you know that we don’t?
Wait, you mean us as individuals or as a species?
And what’s wrong with wanting to have my brain transplanted into a cyborg body? Eh?
I hadn’t thought of it that way, to be it was just another cool day where the numbers formed a palindrome.
humph, got to find me a way to be around for the next one.
Yeah, you never know medicine is advancing. 😉 However you are correct that people seemed to make it sound like this was the last one. I guess they all figure if it happens again and they are not around then it does not count. Kinda like the if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there does it make any noise…… thingy.:-)
Sitting in a tiny little plane on the tarmac at London City airport waiting to fly to Amsterdam. Sound asleep. D’oh!
(21/12), That’s going to be in December right? Not February.
I will not say how long I’ve spent double thinking that before posting, because it’s entirely too embarrassing and evidence of that – I’m worried I could still be wrong.
