Pink Power!

In case you missed it in the sidebar, I finished the Pink Power Project late last night and I wore it today! I got at least three, “You MADE that???” remarks, which is always a fabulous feeling. Yeah for Pink Power!

Now I have to find something to knit besides a scarf. Hmmmm… so many projects to choose from, it is going to be hard! I’m leaning towards a spring-weight sweater or the Sophie purse. I just can’t decide!

All Clear in TARville!

I watched the finale of TAR and … hmmm … about the most exciting thing I can think of is to ask, “Is that Handsome Rob from Survivor on the next season?”

The boring teams made the final four. There was no excitement. No tension. Minimal yelling. Just a yawn or two as the final team won. (Ok, someone got engaged and I’ll admit it – that made me cry. But the rest was pretty damn slow.) At least it wasn’t like the season where the bitchy whiner who totally didn’t deserve the million won. I’m still pissed off about her.

Meanwhile, after 4 attempts to start it, I’m making yet another scarf. This one is for ME (the one from my class is a gift for someone else), and I LOVE IT. It is in Paton’s “PINK POWER” Twister yarn. Pink Power – how appropriate is that?

Why 4 attempts? First I thought I needed it to be 12 stitches wide. On a size 17 needle. Nope, way too wide. Ok, 10 stitches. Nope, still too wide, and I dropped it when I got a phone call so I lost my place and decided to just rip it out again. Then I started with 9 stitches, but about 8 rows up I counted and discovered I had 10 stitches. Oops. I figured out where I had added the stitch, so I went back to that row and started again. Now I’m finally almost done with the first of two skeins. Hopefully I can finish it up tonight.

Project 1, Done…

The scarf that I started at my knitting class yesterday is done. All I have to do is bind it off. Now that I’ve done my homework, I get to start on something else. Hmmm… which yarn should I pick up next…

Pictures soon. I promise. I have a Stampin’ Up! lunchtime party tomorrow that I have to prepare for first.

TAR Free Zone…

I had to stop reading my comments on my knitting post earlier because someone mentioned the Amazing Race. I have to declare my site a currently “TAR Free Zone” because I haven’t watched the final episode yet. Last night I discovered about 35 minutes into the show that my Tivo had lost its mind and thought that recording Queer Eye was more important than recording TAR (need to change the season pass ranking) and the show wasn’t even being recorded. I’ve seen who made the final 3, but not the ending – I saved that to watch later today with Jason. He has really enjoyed the show, and there was no way he was going to stay up until 10pm last night to watch the finale – so now it’s waiting on the Tivo for us!

Don’t tell me who won! *la la la la la la la* I’ve got my fingers in my ears – I’m not listening! (Yes, I have avoided reading blogs today and watching the news just so it will not be spoiled for me!)
