I feel the power. This morning, I had to go to the tire store so they could check and fix my tire. After that, I headed in to downtown.
10:09 – pass sign on I-45 that says the drive time to downtown is 32 minutes.
10:18 – pass another sign, drive time to downtown is 14 minutes. I drove 18 minutes worth in 9 minutes.
10:23 – drive time is 9 minutes. On target, 5 minutes worth in 5 minutes.
10:27 – In downtown. Drove 9 minutes worth in 4 minutes.
Somehow I have gained amazing power to fold the time-space continuum. Now just think of what I could do if I could make time fly like this throughout the rest of my life!
Some days it is the simple things that amuse me to no end. Like the fact that Rocco’s was busted for Health Department Violations. I know, I shouldn’t laugh at poor Rocco’s pain. I mean, he has meatballs to roll, fires to put out, people to fire and make cry. I can’t help but wonder if they will actually show that on the show too. It’s supposed to be all about what it takes to open this restaurant. Much like the “Open” Amex ad campaign you will see over and over again as you watch it. (I love the show, I just get tired of the commercials.) [via Kevin]
I was listening to a CD of the greatest hits from the ’80s, and I realized what is missing from today’s music – people seem to have lost that fine art of using the synthesizer. There is nothing like a good electric synthesized beat to get you going while you’re driving down the road. Know what I mean?
I just had to leave a quick note of thanks to Syd, Liz & Jen (that’s J slash Mo dot com…) for a fantastic girls night out last night! It was just what I needed. Chips, queso, margaritas, fajitas AND good conversation! Did I mention I was starting Weight Watchers again? Yeah, last night was about 1000 points. Oops. Although I think I should get to count all the points I burned off by laughing so hard too!
I was posting photos in the Moblog. I need to find a way to add the latest ones there to the main page of the site, although that could get very cluttered.
Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused. -Unknown [snagged from Jen.]
