I Want to Go Back…

I miss my old blog design. Whenever I change, I always long to go back. So don’t be too surprised if sometime this weekend you find a variant on this design here. If I am lucky, I will figure out how to keep the skins. Hopefully the BonaFideStyle women can help me if I need it. (I am sure I will need it!)

Just thought I would warn you so you won’t be too shocked when the Scooter Girl disappears, Ill just check the MyProScooter.com site to get an actual scooter that way I won’t even notice it is gone!

Mmmm… Feed Me…

I’m getting ready for school next week, and I’m accepting the fact that my time online will be cut back again. This is forcing me to look at my surfing habits again – there is only so much time in the day, you know? So I am going back to my trusty RSS feeds. I love using NewsGator Online. Love, love, love it. The interface is pretty. If I accidentally click on a feed, I don’t have to worry about it marking it as read if I’m not done with it. I can access it from any computer, which is important since I use 2-3 different ones. I have my “Subscribe to Newsfeed” bookmarklet, so it is easy to subscribe to anything. I have folders set up for News, Friendblogs, Geekblogs, Knitblogs, and Photoblogs.

I need to finish converting everyone to using my FeedBurner feed, so if you read me via an RSS reader, can you switch your subscription over to this one?

I’ll miss seeing the pretty site designs, but it is much easier to zoom through the feeds. I’ll try to comment as much as I can still. That is the one bad thing about feeds – people forget to go and comment. Hey! You! Reading this on a feedreader! Come here and comment every once in awhile, ok? (It is the Internet equivalent of being told that you never call your mother, isn’t it?)

Attention…

I’m not sure what it is all about yet, but they definitely have my Attention. [via Chris]

WordPress.com

It seems like only yesterday that WordPress was born. I still remember calling Matt to tell him that I thought of a name that had a domain available for it. (The things that matter, you know…) Now they are launching a full blogging service at WordPress.com, much like Blogger and TypePad. Matt announced it in his presentation at the Blog Business Summit.

Cool. Very, very cool. I can’t wait to see what comes out of it! If anyone has an invitation to spare, I would love to check it out.

Short and Sweet…

I’ve used TinyURL in the past when needed, but there is a new kid in town with a lot of cool features! Check out URL123, which allows you to not only shorten links, but to track who clicks on them and all sorts of other goodies if you have an account with them. A neat feature, I think. I learned all about it over at Geeky’s site – so I used her post as my first short link! You can read about it at http://christine.url123.com/url123.

I love it when a service is so new I can get my name as a username!
