Mmmm… Feed Me…
I just discovered this free RSS to HTML PHP Script. I’m all about the free, and it looks like it could be useful for some future project.
Speaking of projects, last night we went to Kathy and Tom’s house, and I was smart and brought the yarn I bought to make Kathy a scarf. Her sister was the inspiration for the first scarf I crocheted, so the I’m making the second one for her. It’s a cream colored chenille, the pr0n star of yarns because it is “Thick and quick.” While watching Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (Unrated Extended Edition), I managed to crochet about half of the scarf, even while laughing – that movie was pretty damn funny. Two thumbs up. (Two crochet hooks up?) I hope to finish the rest of it today while spending some time in the car.
I already have requests for future scarves – can I just tell you how happy that makes me?!? Wheeee!!! Crocheting for others is FUN!
Off for a day full of crafty goodness. It’s going to be a busy weekend, but I can’t wait!

Doing the iPod Shuffle…
Man, check out the new Apple iPod Shuffle. It is smaller than a pack of gum and weighs less than 4 quarters. (For reference, 5 quarters equals 1 ounce – it’s how you can quicly calibrate a scale.) It is small and sweet. It only holds 240 songs, but look at how tiny it is! And with a smaller pricetag than the iPod at $99. Is It Safe Out There Yet?
Friday night we had some people over for dinner. Early in the evening, Kathy told us that her database was corrupted with her site. (She’s a Blogomania client.) Before she left, Mike called her into the study to show her how to “repair” the database in cPanel. Only to find that we were under the seige of a DOS attack.
I was up until 5:30 am this morning.
Then the server that my sites are hosted on, including Blogomania itself, had a hard drive failure this afternoon. My site is hosted away from everyone else’s site so that if any of the other servers have an issue, clients can still access my site. Except for today – today, I was down and no one could access my site for awhile this afternoon.
Ugh.
Everything is fixed now, back to normal, status quo, and I’m breathing easier. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some sleep tonight.

Movable Type 3.14 Released
Movable Type 3.14 has been released, “which fixes the issue of extreme loads witnessed on servers under the strain of a massive spam attack.” If you’re using MT 3.x – you NEED to do this upgrade. Trust me, your hosting company will thank you.
