Home…

Home at last. Well, at work right now. Lots to say. Too tired to say it. Will post more later. And photos. Photos too. I promise!

Just a Note…

Just a note to say “Hi!” As Mike noted over at SXSW Blog, a huge group of members of the blog community are sitting here at the Omni in Austin – the hotel lobby bar. Mike had his iBook with him and there is Airport access available, so I am taking advantage of it. Jay just told me I am a complete geek because I am sitting here at a bar blogging … but you know, I keep quoting Chris Pirillo – “I’m a geek, not a nerd…”

This iBook is pretty sweet as far as the look and the fact that it is super light, but I don’t like this keyboard – it has an odd touch to it. Over time I could get used to it, but since it’s not mine that won’t happen!

Food?

I’m starving right now. Absolutely famished. And all I want is a good HOME cooked meal. Cooked by me. Made just like I want it. It wouldn’t even matter what it was, as long as no French Fries were involved. I guess I’ll have to head to TGIFriday’s in the hotel lobby and get something to eat … but I wish I was cooking it myself. And that it was a lot cheaper then that will cost me. Oh well… After that, it’s the DFWBlogs party. I didn’t get to go to the Houston blogs party last week because I was busy getting ready for SXSW – but now that I am here in Austin I am going to the Dallas/Ft. Worth blog party. Ironic.

Things I am Seeing…

Two things I have seen a lot of today: Handsprings with Keyboards and iMacs. Lots & lots of iMacs. And G4s. And G4 Titaniums. And only 2-3 other PCs. Wow. I’m seriously shocked over how many Apple symbols I keep seeing all over the place. Heather Hesketh & I were sitting here earlier on our PCs and there was a larger crowd across from us, all with their Macs – and we joked that we were in the PC Ghetto! They are light, they are cute, they are so sweet … but damn it, my Dell has 8 hours of battery power! (Oh, and it weighs 80lbs. *sigh*)
