Mike and I headed in to downtown to meet up with Matt at Kaveh Kanes so that Matt can take me to e-mail nirvana, helping me to get rid of spam forever. (Yes, I will be writing a tutorial. Yes, it will be posted at ScriptyGoddess.) I just had to snap this photo of Matt and Mike with my phone before we got down to business. I think they are actually IM’ing with each other, right here at the table. Ok, it’s an IM chat with a third WordPress developer who is in England.
It’s a gorgeous sunny day, and we’re sitting out on the patio area at the coffee shop. Nice and cool, with grooving tunes piped out from the shop. Enjoying the free WiFi (take THAT, Starbucks!) Really, could you possibly ask for more?
I left the house earlier with four cameras. I think it says something about my issues when I felt like I needed to bring more with me. Just how many cameras does a girl need? Wait … don’t answer that. Ok?

This is just a comment testing out some of your new stuff.
Hehe, yeah, and I felt underprepared when I left for a wedding today with only three cameras. 😉
Testing comments again to see where it goes…
Just another test… (Sorry!)
As you probably already know, t-mobile is the provider of the internet hotspots for Starbucks (Borders too, and a few others I believe), and they aren’t exactly providing DSl service. They actually provide a dedicated t1. Prices for that range from $449 up.
I’m guessing Starbucks just acts like a hub for their service, so its doubtful they make any profit from Starbucks servings of coffee.
It would be really nice if individual coffee houses would offer free wifi, or something reasonable. I can’t imagine the amount of times I’ve needed a signal, and stumbled across an open network. It’s such a blessing.
As I understand it, T-Mobile isn’t set up to make profits off Starbucks sales, but rather on the subscription fee you pay to use the WiFi at your local Starbucks.
That said, I’m all about the free WiFi. Now, where’s my tablet…
…Do you mind me asking about WiFi in shops in the states?
Are there many cafes and shops that offer wireless internet access in their establishment?
Upgrade Day
Just finished upgrading the server to address a mod_ssl vulnerability and get PHP 4.3.2. It went swimmingly, which is always nice.
In the process of upgrading about half a dozen sites to WordPress .71 to test it out before the code is released. It…
Thanks, I needed something to put a smile on my face.
