Fondue-bee-doo-bee-doooo…

We’re having a little fondue gathering tomorrow night to celebrate Mike’s birthday on Saturday, but there is just one problem … I need more tried & true fondue recipes! Have one you want to share? Leave it in the comments or e-mail me (christine at this domain.com) and let me know!

I’ve got a ton of them — what kind of fondue [cheese, chocolate/dessert, or the kind with oil and meat] and smooth or chunky? My personal fave is the Monterey Jack with roasted red peppers and artichokes. Let me know what you’re looking for and I’ll email you the recipes tonight.

We always do meat and oil fondue, with lots of different fancy dipping sauces… that’s the best. I’m hungry for it now! It’s also easy to prepare… bunch of oil, the cut-up beef from the supermarket, and then you just need to make the sauce!

I’m gonna have to go wipe the drool off after Nicole’s fundue (hehe) suggestion – mmmm, Monterey jack, roasted red peppers and artichokes. Nicole: You need a Surgeon Specific warning before posting such a dangerous comment! 😀

What we do is for the cheese fondue: 50-50 cheddar and swiss, a little beer, a little mustard powder, a little garlic powder, and a dash or 2 or 3 of worcestershire sauce. Sorry I don’t have the exact measurements, we usually play it by ear. We tried to copy “the melting pot”, a fondue restaurant around here. At the restaruant it’s PERFECT, but when we do it it’s a bit stretchy, but the flavor is wonderful. Good luck! =:D

Looking for Oil Fondue Recipes. This is my first fondue, so any suggestions would be great. I am thinking of using pork and chicken?
