A post with actual knitting content *and* sweater photos (pre-frogging) and there are no comments? I’m shocked.
The new laptop is here and I looooove it. Now I’m setting everything up. What are your “must have” applications? Do you use FireFox? Are there any extensions I need to be sure check out? I already have “Session Saver” so it remembers what tabs I had open when I close it. Considering my addiction to tabs, this is a good thing.
I set up FeedReader, and I’m still adding feeds to it to make the blog surfing easier. Want me to read your blog? Leave a comment so I can add you! *grin*
(Obviously, I’m adding all the ones I read obsessively and leave comments on all the time. You know who you are. I’m a comment leavin’ fanatic!)

You’re of course welcome to read mine, but I wont un-friend you if you dont wanna π
When I get a new computer I automatically take off a bunch of the crap they have loaded on there, install firefox, install some of the instant messengers.. Google Desktop is fun too π
Google Desktop came installed on it, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to add widgets! *gasp*
I always read you! Matter of fact, I have a special feeds section for the peeps I have met in person. π
I love the bug-me-not extension. Super handy to avoid all the registrations at newspaper websites.
For firefox, get AdBlock and NoScript. Voila, no more popups (except those you WANT to allow).
Also,
I’m not one you obsessively read, but you’ve commented from time to time. π
I use FF all the time, specially the del.icio.us extension, otherwise, I’d have hundreds of bookmarks :). And yes, the popups blocker is AMAZING.
For Firefox, a few favorites and neat ones (besides those already commented) are Flickrfox, MeasureIt, and Digger.
My, you’ve been busy today! Glad to hear the new computer is up and running and that you had a good day with your photog friends. I didn’t finish anything Friday, but I completed the first half of my shawl today (you do two halves and then graft them). Now I have to avoid second half syndrome!
I use Flickrfox, it is great for seeing when new photos have been postedand to check whether my mobile pics have uploaded – without having to open Flickr itself. It rocks!
