H-Town Meets Beantown!

The time is coming for my annual trip to Boston. Last year, I got to meet up with some of the locals, but not everyone – there simply wasn’t enough time. This year, I’m going to follow in Jish’s footsteps and organize a gathering of Beantown bloggers so that we can have a chance to meet everyone.

The plan is to meet in Harvard Square for dinner and drinks. I’m open to suggestions of locations – someplace easy to find, near the T would be good. Please leave me a comment if you haven’t already so I can add you to my list of people to invite. I am also taking a survey:

Would you be more likely to attend if it was on Friday, August 1 or on Monday, August 4?

(If you are not in Boston, or do not plan to be in Boston that weekend, this question does not apply to you. *grin*)

Yes, yes, Hahvahd Yahd … I have a photo of the grass there!

Jenn pointed out that Friday would be better because people don’t have work the next day, and I remembered that then Meredith could make it too! 🙂

Is it August 1st yet? I can’t WAIT!!!

It’s too bad you weren’t doing this a few weeks later, when I’d be back home (in western MA)! Then again, I’m probably a lot younger than a lot of you (I’m only 22, and just fresh out of college), hehe. Boston’s a cool place though, I hope you have fun!

Geoffrey – are you in Boston? If so … hell yeah, you’re invited! People near Boston are invited. People willing to come to Boston are invited. The whole world is invited! Wheee! 🙂

Andrea, that would have been so cool! I’m still hoping to make it to NYC someday soon, and I promise – you’re already on my list of people to see there!

Friday is better for me, too.

As it happens, a certain orange-and-blue-site-which-must-not-be-named is trying to put together a meetup pretty much at the same time, so you might want to peek over there.

Pick someplace not too noisy, okay? Some of us are getting old.
