Now if you visit ChristineTremoulet.com, you are right at the blog on the index page of the site. The old URL and the RSS feed still work, for when people try to visit from those addresses.
I’m actually pretty pleased with how it came out. It still needs some tweaking, but I think it looks pretty with the new background, and far better than the old splash page! Plus the new layout will give me the chance to make a section like FAQs, where I can have pages of information that are easy to print versus trying to force a lot of info on a small space on the portfolio site. Now I just have to keep the pages current, but with CMS options, this shouldn’t be too hard.
So, what do you think? If you were a potential client, would you stick around?

I like it. I think, if I were a customer (and I did just marry off the daughter a few months ago so have some experience in being a customer of a wedding photographer), I would like to be able to click the photo and go straight to your wedding portfolio or prices or something related to that. Also I’d like an introduction to the wedding business at the bottom of the photo (where you have the info about the change now). That would make me think it was a professional I was dealing with and not someone who did it as a hobby.
Just my 2 cents.
Wow! I love the theme! That is just awesome! I’ve been looking for something like that for awhile. That’s really nice Christine.
It looks very nice to me. The colophon could stand a bit more organization, and the header bar isn’t evenly spaced on my Mac (10.5.1, laptop with a letterbox screen), but otherwise it’s professional and engaging.
Looks good! I think it has the design element that brides will like. Funny to think that with all the web design concepts to try, one often reverts back to the “bloggish” format. 🙂
