So I was complaining earlier today about how hot & muggy it was. I mean – it’s two days before Christmas and it was in the 70’s! That’s just insane and it makes the holiday spirit hard to get in to and hard to keep.
But now the HUGE storm has come through, the temps are in the 50’s, and parts of town had hail! I mean, if you can’t have snow … isn’t hail the closest substitute? We didn’t have any here, and while there are reports of tornado-like winds on the west side of town, it’s all clear here in my area.
Typical Houston. If you don’t like the weather, just wait. It will change. Now I think I’ll light some candles and put on my new Peanut’s Christmas CD and enjoy the Christmas chill!

Hey, Christine, just try to imagine ALL your Christmas in hot hot weather!
Santa wears shorts and sandals
We celebrate barefoot at the beach
We have ice cream for dessert
That’s how we do here in Brazil.
And our Christmas spirit is very much alive
(Never mind that some malls insist in being decorated with fake snow…)
I like your web site!
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas! :o)
You really have to move to New England! The weather people say we will have a white Christmas! We haven’t had one in a while around here, and everyone is all excited about it!
Happy Holidaze to you, Jason, and everyone else!
Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🙂
We had hail at our house last night. Once it was done, it looked like snow covered the ground. Just love this Texas weather, don’t ya?
Mele Kalikimaka!
Yup – Boston is supposed to be covered in snow by tomorrow night. I’ll send some your way (if you get a soggy package after Christmas – you’ll know who it’s from) 😉
Seriously, though; we’re supposed to get over a foot of snow… we may have to cancel going out to see Sam’s folks (we celebrate Christmas there). I feel kinda bad – Rachel and Sam are really going to miss out on Christmas this year (no tree in our house)… 🙁 Kinda makes me want to get one tonight just so they don’t miss out…
