Whew! This job hunting stuff is hard work! But today was my first interview, and it went quite well. It was with a recruiting firm that I have worked with before, so that took a lot of the pressure off of me. They have a permanent job placement that I would be a good fit for, so they are working on sending me out for that. Meanwhile, they have temp work as soon as Friday, and a lot around the holidays. The temp pay is less than I am used to because it’s mainly receptionist positions, but not a lot less – and money is money, I’m not making anything just sitting around at home! Now I’m just waiting for the three other agencies that have my resume to set something up, along with the one law firm that I sent it to directly.

Really this early I am super proud of you. If I was in your shoes I would still be in the “Eating Ice cream and watching soaps” stage of mourning.
Teehee! I did that yesterday – I actually set this appointment up on Monday afternoon! I figure with the holidays coming up it was smart to get out there ASAP – people can take forever if they require second and third interviews!
Excellent! You work fast!!! 🙂
Your prospects sound real good. That’s one thing I miss about living in a big city. The employment agencies were a lot more accommodating than they are around here.
You move fast! I’m not anywhere close to a new job as you are — and I’ve had a hell of a head start. Teach me your secrets.
Awesome! You’ll have a job in no time! Soon you’ll be rolling in money and wondering why you thought that old job was something special anyway.
Wow! You don’t waste any time at all. 🙂
Good luck! You won’t need it.
Good luck on the job search. It sounds like you have a lot of possibilities!
That’s the Christine I know! Get ’em girlie!! 🙂 It took me about a week to get my feet under me. I told myself I would never work for anyone again after all that happened to me with being “let go”. And I haven’t! We are pullin’ for you here in VA, go girlie!
Go, go Speed Racer – good luck!
Wow — that’s fast! You go — and good luck!
