After a year of having the Super Bowl pushed on us here in Houston over and over again, it’s finally here. The big day. There were close to 175,000 people in downtown Houston last night – it was quite a sight to watch on TV. (What, you thought I went down there to fight that crowd? No way!) If I had to pick a winner, it would be the Patriots. And I’m not just saying that to humor some people.
It’s game time! Whoo hooooo!!! (Shhh… really, I’m all about the commercials!)

OMG..they’re gonna be here in Jacksonville next year. I think I’ll plan to be away, or hibernating, that week.
I’m from Houston (though I’m out of state right now) I am sad I’m missing Houston’s one “cool moment” in life…..
Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston AND Justin Timberlake all there?? Man..I’m jealous.
I’m not jealous of all those sitting on 610 right now. Or whereever the new stadium is….I forget….
The game was super fun! Although Panthers lost the game, they did quite well, I think. How I envy you in Houston!!!
Weeeeeee are the champions. You can take the boy out of New England, but you can’t take the New England out of the boy. Motheragawd! Go Pats!
In a startling turn of events the game was actually more interesting than the commercials. The commercials just weren’t that good this year.
You’re right Chris – they really weren’t. However, the game rocked! I knew the Pats would win, but you couldn’t help but feel bad for the Panthers – they really, really played a great game. In the end, I was totally in to it for the football – I can’t deny it!
Well, that and the boobage fest at halftime. Whoa…
What abuot the commercial where the dog bit that guy’s crotch? Now that was funny!
The commericals were funny, but hey what about the surprising GREAT game??? Houston, also is getting the Major League Baseball All-Stars…
sadly we did not get to see any of the superbowl action this year, our reception was pretty crappy. luckily though most of the commercial are online :oD
Yeap, that’s me! A damn yankee living in Texas. And the Pats did win!
But biggest surprise was the half time show right?
Did you happen to catch THE commercial? (you know, the one from that slave-driver company?) ;O) I thought it was pretty funny. 🙂 At least their commercials are pretty good. LOL!
Wait! I watched the commercials – and we didn’t get one for the slave-driver company! Maybe they are regional – and because those stores aren’t here we didn’t get one? I’ll have to check with Mike to see if he saw!
You’re right though – their commercials are normally pretty funny!
