Is there a code that I can add to an HTML page to make all links easily open in a new window? I know that I can add target=”_blank” into the tag, but I don’t want to have to go add that to all of the tags on the “More Links” page. I thought maybe there is something I could add to make it easier. Anyone? Bueller?
Just tried it in meryl’s notes and it worked perfectly! Ahh… no more typing target=_”blank” or pissing off people who hate new windows (I stopped when my only fan complained).
I don’t want it to be an option on that one particular page though – I want them to be forced to open ONLY those links in a new window, because my pop-up window doesn’t have an address bar, toolbar, etc. For all of my other links – well, right click and you can choose to open in a new window – that’s what I do! 🙂
I just saw a thread on this on the MT boards this morning – add within the of your document 🙂
I should really just do that with my site because I spend so much time typing target=”_blank” all the time!!! 🙂
YES!!! Kristine’s tip did the trick. Now if you use the “More Links” pop-up window you will get all of those links in a new window and I didn’t have to type target=”_blank” 50 times! Thanks gals for the tips!
You guys ROCK — thanks for all the tips!

I’ve seen that all over Bloggerville lately, and I’m almost embarassed to admit – I don’t get it? Am I supposed to write mine on a sticky note and put it on my monitor then compare it with others’? Can you remember what any of the symbols mean? I feel so out of the loop. LOL!
