Living in the Past…

I hate it when I’m watching something I recorded weeks ago on the Tivo and I forget I’m watching a recording. A news clip between commercials came on, and it was the local NBC anchor, telling me to prepare for one of the coldest nights in Houston’s history. But … it was nice outside earlier, and it’s not supposed to be cold until later this week? Oh. Oops. I’m watching a recording from January 23, when the temps were down in to the 20s and low 30s. Not like today, where the high was 79 and it’s currently 65 degrees.

I just hate that time warp feeling.

I do something like that. I’ll be watching something I taped and get bummed out when the commercials come on, then I remember that I can just fast forward. I’ll manage to sit through a few commercial breaks before it finally clicks.

just be glad there wasn’t a sale on Steve Madden shoes or at Victoria’s Secret two weeks ago… you woulda gotten all riled up for nothing!

ps. i was just taking a wild stab at things that would get you really riled up. shoes and undies. to a woman, what else is there?

oh yeah, chocolate.

LOL… I’ve experienced that, too, sometimes when I watch a recording on TiVo. Alternatively, sometimes I forget when I’m watching live television, at least until I try to skip commercials and I can’t!

lol

I don’t think you’re alone when you do this. A and I do it all the time.

When the commercials run there should be a disclaimer at the top that says “This is a recording from Two Weeks Ago. Please disregard all sales notices and news commercials.” 😉

can i come live with you?

this winter, the below freezing temps and lack of sunshine have really had a terrible effect on me; i’m so down-in-the-dumps.

i told hubby we need to move back to the southwest – i just can’t do this anymore.

I do the same thing… watching a recording from a week ago, hear a lousy weather forecast and start throwing a tantrum… until my boyfriend pats my little blond head and says, “this is recorded, honey, remember?”
