Reading Understanding Migraines sums up how I felt yesterday: Some people feel irritable during migraine attacks and seek solitude, often in a darkened room. Following an attack, many people feel washed out and listless. They forgot to mention how I have to turn the air conditioning down so it’s really cold, and I must have an ice pack at the base of my neck. Sheets and a light blanket covering me, but nothing more. And they psycho cat (Murphy) had better leave me alone, but Mona knows that she should come curl up beside me to try to make me feel better. I swear she knows when I have a migraine, she walks across the bed as if she is tip-toeing… doesn’t want to disturb me but wants to come comfort me. Food doesn’t trigger my migraines, but I did have three other triggers for yesterday’s – psychological stress, fatigue or irregular sleep, and changes in weather. Know what? Migraines suck.

I might have had one yesterday. My head hurt so bad it was making me nauseous. I had to leave work early and fight traffic home praying I would make it. Uck!
I highly recommend Zomig (migraine med) Even with my worst migraines, zomig knocks them down within an hour!!
I guess I should also mention that it’s doctor prescribed (but SO worth it! and I avoid the doctors like the plague!)
Ugh. I hate doctors. Nothing but two-bit body mechanics. Always trying to stick needles in you! Gah!
Quit yer whining Todd — talk to the hand! Wuss! ;-p
Ok, no alcohol for you tonight missy! 😉
