More War News…

This article, “Details still emerging on deaths of Americans“, goes into more detail on the incident that I mentioned earlier today about my cousin. Operation Anaconda… who thinks of these names? Anyways, here is the part that hit so close to home:

An intense firefight broke out on the ground after the helicopter crash landed. Six Americans were killed in the ensuing battle.

The remaining crew members had to survive coming under constant fire for about 12 to 14 hours before being rescued, officials said. The bodies of those killed were recovered at that time.

Peace & prayers go out to Eric, my cousin who (it is my understanding) was a part of that remaining crew, and the many others fighting this war now…
