We always have a ton of change, and try to take it into the bank after we roll it to deposit it. We considered using Coinstar before, but it seemed silly to pay 9% fees to them to take our money. Gift certificates for Starbucks, Amazon, Pier 1, Hollywood Video and Linens ‘n Things are available. How cool is that?

Excellent. I wouldn’t mind paying the 9% if at least half went to charity but it doesn’t, so this tip is a great one.
