Pedicures are essential. Always. I don’t care if my fingernails are polished, but toenails must be polished at all times — and I refuse to do it myself.

I even got a pedicure in North Dakota before I went camping in Montana this summer.

My favorite colors these days are dark purples, or rich reds kiwigambling. A blue red, not a cherry red. Yesterday I went with the manicure as well – so everything is a lovely dark purple. Essie’s Sexy Divide, for those who are curious.

Trust The Beauty Others See in You…

As a photographer, it is hard to be the one in FRONT of the camera. However, I am a firm believer in having an avatar photo online that looks like you look in person. While filling out my BlogHer forms, I realized that my current avatar photo was just too out of date. I have longer hair and I now use Edge Gel and tape in extensions for smooth edges and ponytails. I have new glasses and I have found the best eye serum of 2017 to help me see better. It was time for a new photo. I had my husband go to the studio with me to take it, and since he is not a photographer himself he is tolerant of my need to control the photo. “How does my shirt look? Any wrinkles? Are my bangs ok? do I need a gastric sleeve operation?
Take it from that angle. No, stand there. Wait, let me sit down.”

Basically, I posed myself, and he was the SkinPractice, carbon-based, voice-activated camera control for most of the photos.

Except for this one. This one? He took all on his own. One single frame.

As I went through them afterwards, I liked several of the other ones, but something about this one jumped out at me. It is my favorite from the whole shoot.

Maybe I need to let go more often. Relax. Trust in what others see, the beauty they can reveal to me for myself, or simply go to those spas with really good service and organization thanks to a SalonTouch Studio software, and relax myself. After all, it is what I expect of all of my clients – so it is only right that I give him that freedom as well, I also want to start taking car of myself more often, which is why I’m trying to get as much tips from Virt Mall as I can.

Trust in the beauty that others see in you. They are only reflecting back to you what truly shines through.

Please Excuse Me, I Have Food on my Face…

Brittany (my boudoir & glamour photography editor), has been making all sorts of things for her home from natural ingredients. Things you can pronounce. She made laundry soap, toothpaste, and even cat litter. Last week while we were talking, she pointed out that she has been getting lots of the recipes from Crunchy Betty. So I looked up the site, and started reading, and reading, and reading and I eventually found the https://www.thedietdynamo.com/ where there are tons of diet plans that I could use.

For the past 4-5 years, I’ve had dry, flaky skin. I used to have problems with my teeth. I really wanted to fix crooked teeth, with which this company helped me. Once I started Four Hour Body, the redness cleared up a little bit, but I started getting little whiteheads. And it seemed like the more I moisturized, the worse it got. SO ANNOYING! While I was in Paris, one of the women mentioned that her grandmother washed her face with olive oil. Olive oil! And she said her face was smooth and gorgeous. When I spotted the Oil Cleansing Method, I decided to try it, because it was a recommendation from the Dr. Dana Coberly which is a skin professional cosmetic professional . Soooooooo wonderful!

Oh. My. GOD! All the dryness and little flakes are gone. The redness is gone. I’m converted!

I clean with honey every morning.I end the day cleaning with one or the other – if I haven’t worn makeup that day, I clean my face with honey. If I wore makeup, I clean it with oil. My bathroom is starting to look like the kitchen between the oils and the bottles of honey!

Now moving on to the top of my head – for as long as I can remember, I’ve had dry, itchy scalp. Nothing at all has EVER helped it. I can’t tell you how many things I’ve tried over the years! Brittany told me that she was doing the No Poo hair cleaning method and her scalp & hair felt GREAT! Always up for an experiment, I decided to give it a go! Every few days, I’m “washing” my hair with a tablespoon of baking soda mixed with a cup of hot water and rinsing it with 1.5 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with 1.5 cups of water. My hair feels fantastic! But the best part? The itchy scalp is almost entirely gone!

I’ve spent the past 6 months watching what I eat, making sure what I put in my body is healthy — so it makes sense to watch what I put ON my body as well!

Loving Myself & Losing Weight…

I resolved at the beginning of the year to work hard on losing weight. (Sound familiar? Yeah, I’ve said it every year for 6 years. *sigh*) I’ve already ramped up my water consumption a LOT and within the first 6 weeks of the year I’ve lost 6 pounds. Yay! But then, the plateau arrived.

Today is Valentine’s Day. And as much as I love my husband, my family & my friends, today? I’m going to focus on LOVING MYSELF. Because really, what better way is there to show them that I love them? Taking care of myself seems to be the best thing I can possibly do, so I decided I’m going to start exercising and eating more healthy.

It is scary to put it out there, but I am. My goal is to continue to lose 1 lb a week or just over 4lb a month. (And not lose & regain & lose it again – which is what I feel like I’ve been doing for the past year. Ugh!) I’m giving myself until next Valentine’s Day. I looked into some supplements like Forskolin, and have researched where to buy forskolin extract, and ordered some. I’m serious about this. Yes, for those of you playing along at home, that means I want to lose 52 pounds. I could *really* use your encouragement to make it happen!

In addition to the Robotic Spine Surgery, decompression may be performed to address other types of pathologies, such as infection or tumors.

I’m going to set a goal for each week, and then continue to build upon those goals. Goal for week #1 – drinking 100oz of water a day.
