I have forced myself to curb my constant chattering about it, but in case you missed the notice – BlogShares is moving from Beta to the full-fledged live version on May 1st, and you only get to take your cash on hand in to the new game. Your stock portfolio will be wiped out, and you will get 1000 shares in any sites you have claimed. Cash, 1000 shares in your own sites. Nothing more.
So if you have 10,000 shares in some big name site, now is the time to move them out. But play wisely – you only get 20 transactions every 24 hours right now. Remember, buy low, sell high, watch those P/E ratios – there are some good stocks out there worth buying and holding for a day or two.
Really, I swear, I’m not addicted to the game. No, no, not at all. Uh uh. Nope. I mean, I’ve only set an alarm for the middle of the night so I could sell off stocks once. Just once. Not addicted. Not at all…

heh, I just finished doing a massive sell-off…
I won’t be around the day the site goes live most likely. I think I may need to find a balm for that…
crap, and I did a bunch of buying earlier today. ah, poop.
I’m blissfully unaware!
So, you don’t mind buying stock? Good eal. Care to teach me the ways of the “wise and prosperous” on this new-fangled system? 😉
I don’t get it, I just don’t get it. I’m just thankful the task of running the economy of this country is not in my hands… ha ha! I guess I haven’t payed too much attention to the whole BlogShares thing.
Happy Saint George’s Day
Nope, not addicted at all. What is it about this game. I find myself over there constantly checking on it. Sheesh, like I need another distraction. :o)
I’m still buying like crazy, there’s another week left! I don’t get why everyone’s cashing out so early. That’s okay, it’s making it easier for me to climb up the Top Players list, heh. heh.
Far too addicting, and I too have waken myself up in the middle of the night to sell sell SELL! Sometimes that 6 hours limit thing interferes with my sleepytime. lol!
I’m still buying too – if I stopped, I wouldn’t be bringing in a profit. I dumped most of the “really big ones” but I’m still picking up some, holding as they go up, and then selling them off. 1250+ shares at a pop, I’ve made sometimes $1000 or more on one stock!
I waited a week before joining the game, my mistake as I swore I wouldn’t get addicted to another game. But not I’m playing, halfheartedly.
But how long should I hold my stocks? When should I sell? ACK!!!
Nice!
In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make
When the [Blogshares] site goes live all shares in your portfolio will be deleted as will your transaction history for the beta period. You will only take your cash balance forward. Blogs will have their shares reset to the original 5000 and you will r…
