Target : Target to a T

Is it just me, or is it strange that Target is marketing a custom clothing service?

Except they basically only go up to size 20 in jeans for women. If they went bigger, I’d be all over it. It’s impossible for me to find jeans at that price point that fit me. Lane Bryant jeans fit me pretty well, but I can’t justify SIXTY DOLLARS for a pair of jeans, which would be why I haven’t bought a pair of jeans in two years.

And if they had custom chinos for women in my size, too–again, it’s the price point that’s killer. Custom chinos from Lands’ End in a plus size cost $62–and again, the damn things don’t come in my size.

(I’m in the midst of a probably futile search for moderately priced work-appropriate pants in my size–I suspect I’m going to have to spent the $60-70 at Junonia.)

If you have one in your area, Old Navy has some stores with plus-size sections, now. Would help out with jeans, though probably not professional wear. As far as work pants go, you can find some decent pants at Lane Bryant for $40-50.

I think it’s pretty cool. I ordered some – after spending an hour trying on 10 pairs of jeans Sunday, all different sizes, prices, and styles, and being happy with none of them, I’m willing to spend $35 for a pair of custom fit jeans. Especially when I could find many that fit poorly for $50 and more. I’ve been happy with many things from Target – I expect the quality will be fine. We’ll see!

I have a pair of custom fit jeans from Target and they are great. The fabric is very nice, not cheap, and is a stretch material, which is always nice. The fit is the best i have found in years. I usually never buy jeans because they never fit properly.

I am operations manager for the company that provides Target, JCPenney, and Lands’ End with the technology to customize Jeans, Chinos, Blouses, and Dress Shirts. If you have any comments or would like information just post it here and I will try to respond as best I can.

After waiting 8 weeks to receive my jeans, I’m disappointed they don’t fit. I ordered custom jeans, because pants are usually too tight in the waist. I usually add (or move) the top button to make them an inch or so bigger, but that makes the zipper/stomach area of the jeans unattractive. I usually wear a size 8 and I went to Target, to try on the Missomo jeans, to be sure their size 8’s fit – they fit so well, I was tempted to buy them & add the extra button like usual, but I wanted jeans that were cut for my tummy & waistline. My “custom” jeans are even tighter in the waist than the ones in the store – there’s a 2 – 3″ gap – and I’m pretty sure they’re tighter through the thighs, although the hip area is fine. Now, I have to pay to ship them back. I was hoping these jeans would be the answer to my fit problems and then I would have ordered khakis as well…

I wonder if Target is still doing the custom clothes? I’ve tried going to the website, and keep getting ‘Website not found” or something like that. Maybe Sam can fill us in? I know it’s been a long time since anything was posted here….

I recently bought some jeans at sears. The name brand on the inside of the pants is CPINK. I phoned Sears after failing to find them on the website and they told me that they are actually called pink cookies. I have searched the web with no luck. I love these jeans. Can anyone help.

Thanks,
Shay
