The Blind Date…

Why on earth do the people that go on Blind Date seem so surprised when their date completely sucks? Why? Have these people watched the show? Almost every date ends in date hell. What makes them think that their date will be so special and that it will work out? I think I can count on one hand the dates that have gone well. And yet every time they seem surprised that their date sucked! Why?

I never make it a point to watch that show, but sometimes if I’m flipping channels I’ll watch for a bit (kind of like slowing down to watch a traffic accident – you don’t want to but you can’t help it!). It definitely makes me thankful that I’m not out there in the dating world!

The only time I ever watch it is when I’ve been watching something else that is on before it – like Saturday Night Live – and that show ends and Blind Date starts. Then the traffic accident fascination begins and I can’t turn away!

i’ll admit it freely… i LOVE that show! and not all dates end badly… hell, half the dates end up in hot tubs. but it’s the bad dates that are always the funniest, so i’m sure they make a point to play more of those…

Ha! I watched this show a few times last year when it was on during the day while I was home. It’s since moved past my bedtime. Anyway, the show had some hilarious moments and I love the bubbles that pop-up with people’s “thoughts.”
