The Latest…

Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, at 1pm. The fibroids are not visible on the ultrasound now, and the ovarian cyst is gone. However, I have a very thick and enlarged uterus, and still have very bad bleeding. My body has no iron reserves at all. The bleeding has to be stopped. Due to the very enlarged uterus, I can not have the ablation, there is a size limit for the uterus. The last option is a hysterectomy.

I won’t lie. I am really not thrilled. I know it is the right thing to do though.

I will most likely be here through Sunday or Monday, depending on how it all goes. I will ask Mike to post an update for me.

Surgery is never something to look forward to, but if it gets your body back on track, it’s probably worth doing. I’ll be sending healing thoughts! And hope to hear another podcast episode one day in the future!

My mother had a hysterectomy several years ago for the exact same reason…she’s doing great now. I’ll be thinking of you this weekend.

I read here often but have never commented before, just wanted to say good luck with the surgery!!!! Think of how you’ll feel in the long run to not have to deal with this all the time 🙂

That is tough especially when you were counting on something else. In the end your health is the most important, of course. I hope you are on the mend as quickly as possible.
