The Sound of Silence…

First I started to wonder why I wasn’t getting any e-mail messages. I knew that tickets had come in to the Blogomania helpdesk, and I’m normally notified of them. Plus I had sent out a PayPal refund, I should have a payment receipt. Wow, no e-mails for two hours? Not even spam? This is odd, very odd.

Then I came to my site to see if it was online. Only to be greated with a blank white page. Augh!

So tonight I learned that if you’re 8mb over your allocated disk space on the server, mail shuts down. If you rebuild MT while over the limit, MT will generate a plain blank white page.

Nothing like a little jolt like that to wake me up! Everything should be back to normal now – let me know if you see anything odd. I deleted almost 1000 spam messages out of my spam folder without reading through them to verify whether or not they were legit – so if you send spam-like e-mail often, let me know. I glanced at them and didn’t recognize any names, so hopefully I didn’t delete any that I should have kept!

I sent an email that may or may not have been spam-like. Now I’m going to be self-conscious about my email from now on. I guess that’s a good thing… Anyhow, I was writing to see if you’re interested in earning up to $2000 a week doing medical billing from home — if so, just shoot me an email. Thanks.

Only if you’re interested in buying viagra or phentermine. How about getting larger breasts? Come on, you know you want to buy in to those. Did my e-mails to you on those get through? Or did Spam Assassin squash them?

The Sound of Silence…

Wow. My posting here has been incredibly sparse lately, hasn’t it? It’s the strangest thing – I want to blog, but it seems like I have nothing to say. Add to that the fact that things are kickin’ in to high gear right now as I get ready for my upcoming client meeting – next week Kymberlie, Krista & I are heading to Arizona to meet with a new client. We have a kick-off meeting to get their site redesign underway. Add to that the fact that we are moving their two extensive sites and it’s a bit crazy around here lately.

On the news front, Kymberlie just informed me about the new name for Enron Field. “Minute Maid Park”. Hello? Was anyone thinking about this? I mean, how many bad sex jokes can you spin off of that?

The Sound of Silence…

Writing proposals at work takes a lot out of me (and I have another one to do in the morning) and it leaves me without a lot to say here. Hmm. So here are some random things:

– I’m behind on blog reading. I have a lot of catching up to do. I want to, but I am also suffering from computer burnout after the past week. I’ll be there, I promise.

– I watched last Wednesday’s episode of “Call for Help” on my Tivo on Sunday. Chris wished Katie a Happy 13th Birthday. I keep wondering if that’s Chey’s daughter, who turned 13 last week. Chey?

– My back hurts from sitting in this chair too long. I’m moving as soon as I finish this post.

– I finally paid attention when No Doubt was on my WinAmp again. I’ve heard “Hey Baby” before! Dude! Well, like I told Robyn before, a lot of times I recognize a song but have no idea what the title is or who sings it. I just know the song.

– I still have to get my other sites online. So far this one and the Pixelog are the only ones online.

– This isn’t a new design – if you see 10 small photographs on the top and a dark gray background, this is the default template of my site. The cookies seem to have been reset for some people because of the site move.

– I am really happy to have my skins back up on my site. That default template wasn’t right at all!

– My “girlie music” list is named that because of Chris V. It’s really some pretty random music, but most of it’s good. He keeps saying it’s girlie stuff, I don’t agree with him. Well, not completely. Hall & Oates though? (I actually like them. And I like Barry Manilow too.)

– Off to catch up on Third Watch. I’m really getting in to this show finally this season. Tivo’s calling me…

Yep it was 🙂 It was during the whole server mess and robyn and I and everyone were writing about it on the excessbloggage withdrawl blog but you were working so hard those days you probably missed it 🙂 I scored some serious mom points that day 🙂

Can’t deal with third watch. They film mostly in Queens, NY, and are constantly interrupting my life. They close off entire blocks, etc. etc., it’s just a complete pain. When I see the production truck I just want to jump back on the train and go home.
