My Mom’s birthday was earlier this week, and while I didn’t write about it here at the time, I couldn’t resist dedicating this song to her. She’s told me stories about how I used to sing it when I was little – I was a big Mister Rogers junkie – so I couldn’t resist. Celebrate your fanciness!
PBS Kids – Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood: Everybody’s Fancy
Some are fancy on the outside.
Some are fancy on the inside.
Everybody’s fancy.
Everybody’s fine.
Your body’s fancy and so is mine.
Boys are boys from the beginning.
Girls are girls right from the start.
Everybody’s fancy.
Everybody’s fine.
Your body’s fancy and so is mine.
Girls grow up to be the mommies.
Boys grow up be the daddies.
Everybody’s fancy.
Everybody’s fine.
Your body’s fancy and so is mine.
I think you’re a special person
And I like your ins and outsides.
Everbody’s fancy.
Everybody’s fine.
Your body’s fancy and so is mine

You’re fancy.
Too funny! Thanks. Double nickel has to be good.

Heh, I hated Mr. Rogers. But my little sister liked the show and got channel priority over me (little brat) so I had to watch him or nothing. >:P
