I couldn’t resist. It has taken me about 10 years to get photos of myself that I actually like. I couldn’t take them down, I had to keep them. So I asked Mar if it was ok and she said it was … and voila! There they are. I feel so Fresh!

Nice Quiet Day…
It’s been a pretty nice quiet day. I sat outside on the patio while it was raining and finished reading “Confessions of a Shopaholic” by Sophie Kinsella. It is similar to Bridget Jones’s Diary in some ways, but I actually liked it more I think. It was hysterically funny. I guess I can relate to her debt issues, especially after the past year or two. Anyways, the book is fab. V. fab.
Jason & I are watching “War Games” on DVD while I work on the site look. I added the Freshly Made design that Mar did for me. I pulled out links that were dead. I added things I had read & watched. I have had fun with it. Jason is really in to War Games right now. We are at the end scene where the computer is playing Tic-Tac-Toe. Funny, even though technology has advanced so much, this is still a cool movie. It is worth mentioning that I adore Matthew Broderick and I don’t think I have ever seen a movie with hi in it that I haven’t absolutely loved. Matter of fact, I want to get “Cable Guy” and “Addicted to Love” on DVD. Love those movies.
I am bummed though – while reading Shopaholic I was thinking I should go look and see if Changing Rooms or Trading Places was on TV. I was too into the book though, so I didn’t get up. Now I find out thanks to Melissa that there has been a marathon of them on, along with a Law & Order marathon. I *love* Law & Order. I set the Tivo to record the episode that is coming on at 8pm.
Must Remember…
Must add Flutter, Glub, Meow and a few others to the links over there on the left. I will do that as I clean things up and change to the Fresh Made look tomorrow.
You know, nothing like watching Law & Order from last week (good one! I hadn’t seen that one before) on the Tivo, and then going back to live tv, only to find some serious soft porn on Showtime. Damn. The lines are incredibly lame, it’s hysterical. Let’s see, what is this … Lady Chatterly’s Stories. Note to self: late, late night tv on Sundays are lame. I was going to go to bed, but this is so lame it is almost tempting to stay up and watch it! No wonder I have such problems with men – this crap doesn’t happen in real life. And poor men sit around and watch this and get ideas that this is reality. Yep. Uh huh. Good luck finding that! Yeah, we all wish reality matched TV – because this guy has quite a nice, buff chest!
Fresh Made … coming soon!
I have been totally engrossed in “Confessions of a Shopaholic” all day. I am loving this book. So I have been off of the computer except for to send my mother a nice, heated e-mail about her latest thing that she has done to irritate me to no end. Grrrr… How dare she try to ruin my nice reading day? Oh well, if I read some more I will forget about it, I hope. For now it’s time to watch Queer as Folk and Leap Years while I find something to eat. Tonight or tomorrow I will be backing up my files and then the site will be Fresh Made! (No, Mar, I do NOT hate the design!!!) Working on Fresh Made was so much fun I think I will change the look more often. For awhile I have held out and kept the layout pretty constant so that it is easier for the people that read the site, but I don’t know, I think it’s fun to open a site and be surprised by a new look! Hmmm… whatcha think?
I wish I had something tasty here for dinner. I don’t feel like going out to get food. It’s been a quiet day, reading and coloring my hair. Had to get rid of the gray. #40 “Tawny” (Light Ash Brown) Hydriance by Clairol. Yes, I am over 50% gray. Pretty well over 50%. And I am not even 32. Genetics. I like the Hydriance line because it actually allowed some of my gray to “shine through” so it looks like nice highlights. I didn’t color for a long time, but the gray was looking mousy, and so when I had my interview for the new job I colored it. Guess sometimes I need to be Fresh Made too!
Gee, are you Going to Hell?
Thanks to Keith, I could not resist following the link to Your (sic) Going to Hell. This sort of thing annoys me. I am Christian. I am. I am not going to go around and beat you up & tell you that whatever beliefs you have, choices you make are wrong. I am not about to shout at you about how you are damned to Hell because of your beliefs. More importantly, I don’t believe Jews are going to Hell. Sorry, just don’t buy it. Jesus was a Jew. The Jewish were God’s “Chosen People”. Does that end when Christianity begins? I could rant on & on about that. But again – those are my beliefs. MINE. We can sit around & debate it all day, and you know what? We won’t know who is right until we die and see what waits in the afterlife. If there is an afterlife. So you can quote the scriptures to me all you want about how the only way to the Father is through the Son. And you know what I’ll say? Don’t judge others. It’s not your place. Be careful. Matthew 7:1-3 (NIV) – “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”
