*Sigh* I turned the heel on my Jaywalkers the other day, and wrapped up the decreases this afternoon, moving on to the main body of the foot. I decreased the sole of the foot down to 38 stitches – half of the total stitches – just like I normally do.
It would have been smart to have double checked the pattern.
Yeah, I was supposed to decrease down to 32 stitches. I stopped too early. Of course I’ve knit close to an inch since then. Gah! I kept thinking the bottom of the sock looked like it was going to be loose. I think my only option is to weave a different colored yarn through the sock and frog back to where I should have done the other decreases.
Man, I hate it when I do stupid things like this!

I used to knit years ago – now the only thing i knit is my eyebrows occasionally. (har har)
Why don’t you go back to where you need to decrease to 32 stitches? I guess I don’t understand and you know how much I love to knit!
My daughters laugh at me because it doesn’t seem to matter whether I am crocheting or knitting, I always have to tear something back to almost the beginning a time or two, or three, or four….
I did frog back to where I needed to do the additional decreases. Then I had to carefully make sure I picked up all 76 stitches. Ugh. With size 000 needles. But I did it, and I didn’t lose anything, and I’ve passed the point where I was when I realized my error the other night – so it is all good!
