While watching the Olympics, specifically the gymnastics events, they keep announcing that they are showing replays in “High Speed Super Slow Motion”.
How on earth is it high speed and super slow motion at the same time? Huh?
I’ve just wondered that every time I hear it.
For years, I have used Lavasoft’s AdAware program to find the bad things hanging out on my computer and get rid of them. I ran it yesterday and it only found one thing running. Kathy has suggested in the past to use Spybot – Search & Destroy also to help clean up the bad stuff. Considering how wonky my poor laptop has been acting, I thought it might be smart to test it out.
It found and destroyed 86 things that were running on my computer. 86 bad things!
I feel so clean now. Hopefully this will help end some of the bizarre behavior, but I might just run a defrag to go along with it. Any other suggestions on things I can do to keep the computer pristine?

I went to a project night last night that Kathy invited me to – what a BLAST! I made some really adorable cards that I’ll have to take photos of and share. I’ll be going back next week to help Kelly out during the day while she has another workshop for some of her other clients – I figure it will help give me more experience in sharing my love of stamping with others! It’s SO much FUN!!!
The surreal moment of my day today? I mentioned an old friend that I lost touch with, Colleen, to another friend of mine last night. Today, we’re in Jason’s doctor’s office waiting for his allergy shot, and I looked around the tiny waiting room only to realize she was sitting RIGHT there. She had been there for at least 10 minutes, but we were both doing the polite “I’m not going to make eye contact” thing and hadn’t noticed each other. How bizarre is that? She’s now running a wedding/reception site that is also a Bed & Breakfast. It sounds really cool – I can’t wait to talk to her some more to get more details!
It’s about freakin’ time. After I’ve inspired … oh, I don’t know, probably at least 10 people if not more to purchase a TiVo, TiVo now offers a TiVo Rewards program! For each person you refer to TiVo, you earn 5,000 points when they activate their box. For just 25,000 points, you earn a 140 hour TiVo!
I think they owe me at least two of them. I’d like one of the special edition TiVo watches too.

An interesting side note? I purchased my TiVo during the 2000 Summer Olympic Games. There was a special rebate going on for the Olympics. Now, 4 years later, I can’t imagine watching the Olympics without it.
