Ten Things…

I am absolutely fascinated by the 10 things we didn’t know this time last week series from the BBC. Wow, this is cool! My favorite from this week?

The waxworks at Madame Tussaud’s are not made of wax at all. The material is too heavy to support its own weight, so only the faces and hands of the famous are cast in beeswax while the bodies are made of fibreglass. A notable exception – and a new addition unveiled in London this week – is Brad Pitt’s bottom, which is made from a foam and silicon mixture to make it squeezably lifelike.

We can squeeze Brad Pitt’s ass at Madame Tussaud’s! Dude! If I wasn’t meeting up with Leia (pronounced Lee-a, not like the princess, in case you ever wondered), Julie, Jason, Mike and PhotoMatt for dinner at 7:30, I would be hopping on a jet for London, just to squeeze Brad Pitt’s ass.

Ok, not really. But I seem to have NOTHING to write about today. Like everyone else, I seem to be “on edge” lately – like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. Are the planets spinning backwards around their moons again or something?

As an addendum to yesterday’s post, Michelle pointed out that there is a section in her forums just for sharing info about songs heard on commercials. It’s all about sharing the love here at the House of the BPC!

Get Your Groove On…

Love the music in some of the latest commercials, but have no idea who sings that song? Maybe one of these sites can help:

Who is the Slowest of them All?

According to an article at MSNBC, Houston is the #1 city most likely to procrastinate on their taxes. I’m proud to say that I added to that statistic by waiting until today to file mine. No point in rushing to send it off if you owe them money! [via Jewdez]

Kudos to the IRS for having a fast and stable server finally. I was able to get in, get out, and get on my way. That is always a good thing.

The Next Step…

For years I have received spam e-mail that has the subject line telling me I can “Find out Anything about Anyone Anywhere!” but the one I got today just takes the cake…

Ruin Anyone Anywhere!

With whatever great product they are offering, I can ruin anyone! Anywhere! If only Bush had had this, he could have used it to ruin Saddam! And if I get it, I will take on amazing super powers of evil! I will control the world!

By the way, know what really rocks? When you realize that you should find a list with the company holidays because this Friday is Good Friday. Then you discover that you have this Friday off! Whoo hoo! And I’m taking Monday off too for Jason’s birthday – so I will have a 4 day weekend!

It’s Bluebonnet Season!

Down here in Texas, we sure are mighty proud of our lovely state flower, the Texas Bluebonnet. People drive for hours, just to see the best bluebonnets that nature has to offer every year. If you’ve ever been one of those people and you have some Bluebonnet photos to share, head on over to Kevin’s site and enter the “Big Kev’s 2003 Texas Bluebonnet Challenge“. Celebrate springtime in Texas! (The grand prize is two passes to Six Flags over Texas!)

On a side note, thanks to the reading I did on CSS last night, I finally know how to do cool things like the date headers that Kevin has on his site! I understand CSS! (Try not to faint from the shock!)
